CradleHQ ("we," "our," or "us") operates the CradleHQ app and website at cradlehq.app. CradleHQ is an all-in-one platform designed to help parents track milestones, log daily care, journal memories, and manage their baby's first years in one place.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using CradleHQ, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password when you sign up
• Baby profile: your baby's name, date of birth, and photo (optional)
• Journal entries: titles and stories you write about your baby's milestones and memories
• Tracking logs: feeding times, sleep records, and diaper changes you enter manually
• Milestone records: milestones you mark as achieved for your baby
• Photos and images you choose to upload. On mobile devices, CradleHQ requests access to your photo library solely to let you select photos for journal entries and milestone records. We do not access photos you have not explicitly selected.

Server logs:

• IP address, access times, and pages visited — captured automatically by our web server

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the CradleHQ app and its features
• Create and manage your account
• Display age-appropriate milestones and activities for your baby
• Send you important service updates and notifications you request
• Improve and develop new features based on how the app is used
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your baby's data to any third party. Ever.

We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We work with trusted providers who help operate the app (cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery). These providers are contractually required to keep your data secure and use it only to provide their services to us.
• With your permission: When you explicitly choose to share information — for example, sharing a caregiver access link or a gift registry — only the information you choose to share is shared.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

CradleHQ is designed for use by parents and guardians — not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The data you enter about your baby (name, birthdate, photos, milestones) is provided by you as a parent or guardian and is treated as your data, not your child's.

If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental permission, please contact us and we will promptly delete that account.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Your account is protected by password authentication, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and your baby's profile within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct: Update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at privacy@cradlehq.app — we will process your request within 30 days
• Export: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Opt out: Unsubscribe from any marketing emails at any time

9. Cookies

CradleHQ uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies that follow you across the web. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not function correctly without them.

CradleHQ may display affiliate product links and recommendations. If you click through to a third-party website, their privacy policy governs how they handle your data. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as CradleHQ grows and adds new features.
